Desert Rhubarb (Rheum palaestinum). Perhaps the only known plant in the world that can self-irrigate. Because of the deep depressions in the rhubarb's huge leaves (the rosette leaves can grow up to 1 square metre) water gets collected along the leaf veins towards it base. On an average, the plant collect 16 times more water than other desert plants in the region.
