The original Crusader wall was rebuilt and reinforced in 1750 by Daher el-Omar and in 1775 and 1799 by Ahmad Pasha Al-Jezzar-Akko's Muslim rulers. The wall survived Napolean's attempt to take Akko (1799). The wall measures 33 to 43 feet height and 3 feet thickness. Another wall was built in 1800–1814 by Al-Jezzar and it includes a dry moat, canon outposts and three towers. One can climb the walls and enjoy the beauty of Akko.
