Archaeological Excavations from Bethesda-Five Layers of History in a Single View!

Interestingly, if you stand at Bethesda and look towards west, you see ruins from 3rd Cent BC to 12th Cent AD (1500 years) distributed randomly. To be more specific, in the following photographs (1P-3P), ruins from five different levels of history appears in a single frame!

1) Second Temple Period (5th Cent BC to 1st Cent AD) on the foreground,
2) Roman (1st-4th Cent AD) above Second Temple level
3) Byzantine (4th to 6th Cent AD) in the center level
4) Crusaders (11th to 12th Cent AD) on the top most level
5) The modern level in the background.
