The Broad Wall was built by King Hezekiah to protect Jerusalem against the Assyrian attack under King Sennacherib in 8th Cent BC. The wall is 8m thick and 8m high and mentioned in Bible (Nehemiah 3:8). Some believe that this wall is more ancient and actually from the First Jerusalem Temple era (10th Cent BC).
