Underground Caves/Guard Rooms (6th Cent BC to 1st cent AD) in St.Peter in Gallicantu Church, Jerusalem.

According to 4th cent traditions, these caves were part of an ancient public jail where Jesus was scourged by Caiaphas. Later, Peter and John were also whipped here for preaching in Jesus' name (Acts 5:39-42).
