The City of David is a historical and archaeological treasure, offering insights into the first Jerusalem. Just to remind you that the term "the City of David" refers to a huge area and currently is part of a National Park in Israel. It has much more to offer than what the name merely suggests. The main attractions include ancient "stepped walls" from 3500 years, remains of the Palace of King David, breathtaking observation points, secret water channels, traditional pools (Pool of Siloam) at the time of Jesus, ancient tombs, 2700 year old underground tunnel (Hezekiah Tunnel) that can take you to a half km walk through history and gushing waters of a biblical spring (Gihon Spring) that still flows abundantly. Archaeological excavations are still undergoing and very frequently interesting findings are reported. There are quite a few sites yet to be opened to the public as restorations are going on. For more details please refer to the texts attached with the photographs taken.
