SHAHARUT-a settlement in southern Israel near Eilat.

Founded in 1985 and named after the nearby Shaharut Mountain, it is perhaps the most isolated settlement in Israel in terms of accessibility. The word "Shaharut" is derived from Bible and means "youth" (Ecclesiastes 11:9).
