The Canaanite Tunnel (18th Cent BC)-the City of David, Jerusalem

This 120 m long tunnel was dug during the Middle Bronze Age (18th Century BC-the days of Abraham) to divert the waters of Jerusalem's Gihon spring for agricultural purposes. Some date the tunnel from the 1st Temple Period (9th Cent BC) only.
