The Crusader Citadel of Zippori.

The Citadel was built as a watch-tower by Crusaders (12th Cent AD), using pre-existing remains of a Roman structure that stood here (1-2 Cent AD). Later, in 18th Cent., it was rebuilt as a fortress by a Bedouin Sheikh, Dahar al-Omar. At 19th Cent., another floor was added by Arabs to incorporate a school. Today, a small museum inside the fort exhibits some of the findings excavated from Zippori. The best part and not to be missed is the excellent 360 degree viewpoint from the top of the fort.
