THE LITTLE WESTERN WALL/HA-KOTEL HA-KATAN, JERUSALEM. Remains of original walls (Closest to Holy of Holies) of 2nd Jerusalem Temple (516 BC to 70 AD).

Every one knows about the "Western Wall", the most sacred site of Judaism. However, not many know about the "Little Western Wall". Located not far from the the larger Western Wall, the Little Western Wall is also part of the Second Jerusalem Temple (516 BC to 70 AD). Today, the little wall is part of a very narrow alley inside the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. I was surprised to learn that many in Israel didn't even know that such a wall exists in Jerusalem. For Muslims, the alley is known as Rabat El Kurd, and is used as a passage to gain access to their homes. Also because of being in Muslim Quarter, Jewish tourists feel insecure in the area; whereas most of the foreign tourists are least aware of such a site. The stones of the little wall are believed to be the second closest point to the 'Holy of Holies' (closest location is inside Western Wall tunnels) of Jerusalem Temple and hence very sacred to Jews.
