On the way to Megiddo National Park. The oldest surviving record of Megiddo's name appearing is on the walls of a Temple in Egypt (1468 BC). The inscriptions are on the 'Temple of Karnak', where Pharaoh Thutmose III (1479-1426) describes the battle he won at Megiddo.
