The formation is called 'Disappointed Love' as the stalactite (from roof) and stalagmite (from floor) formations cannot join. The stalactite formation process has been blocked naturally and there is no further growth. If you enlarge the photograph, you can see a small gap of around 1 mm in between. The distance has remained the same ever since it has been discovered. Who knows may be it was blocked thousands of years ago!
