Qubbat al-Miraj is a dome built to commemorate Prophet Muhammad’s ascension to the heavens, which according to Islamic traditions happened in 622 AD. The dome was restored in 1200 AD. The Dome of al-Khalili is an early 18th century structure dedicated to Sheikh Muhammad al Khalili.
