Original Coins of the Roman Emperors (Caesars) from 1st Century AD. Kadman Numismatic Pavilion, Eretz Israel Museum-Tel Aviv.

1P: See Augustus Caesar (27 BC-19 AD): Jesus was born in his reign; Tiberius Caesar (14-37 AD): Jesus was crucified during his rule.

2P: See Nero Caesar (54-68 AD): famously known as the Emperor who 'fiddled when Rome was burned'. He is the first Caesar who prosecuted Christians and was responsible for the killing of St: Peter and St: Paul.

3P: Titus Caesar (79-81 AD): Responsible for the final destruction of Second Jerusalem Temple in 70 AD. However, he was a Military General under his father Vespasianus (69-79 AD; see 2P for the coin), during this fateful campaign.
