The Bible mentions about the promised land as "A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any [thing] in it; a land whose stones [are] iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass" (Deuteronomy 8:9). You will be surprised to know that the oldest copper mines in the world is at a place called Timna not far from Eilat in Israel. This pavilion has most of the findings from Timna Copper mines which include smelting furnaces from 4th millennium BC and 'Copper/Bronze/Brass Snakes' from 14th-10th Century BC. The name Nehustan symbolizes the biblical 'Copper Snakes'.
