Similar to Mount Avital (see below), Mount Bental is also an extinguished volcano (1171 m above mean sea level). In fact, the two mountains are two craters of just one volcano. Both mountains together form the Nature Reserve "Har Avital - Har Bental". On the top of Mount Bental is a visitor center and a reconstructed Israel Defense Forces (IDF) emplacement.
