Mount Tabor, Daburiyya and Iksal. (Views from Mount Precipice, Nazareth).

Mount Tabor: Traditional site of the Transfiguration of Jesus (Matthew 17:1-9, Mark 9:2-8, Luke 9:28-36) and site for the battle between Barak and Deborah with the army of Jabin and Sisera (Judges 4:6). You cannot miss the mountain in these photographs.

Daburiyya: The modern Bedouin village located at the base of Mount Tabor is the area where the Biblical Prophetess Deborah judged. May be the word Daburiyya is derived from the Hebrew name Deborah! Daburiyya is sometimes identified as the Biblical city of Daberath (I Chronicles 6:72). In the photographs below, you can see the village just below Mount Tabor towards left.

Iksal: This modern Arab town in Israel is 5 km away from Nazareth. Mentioned as "Xaloth" by Josephus, the 1st Century Jewish Historian, Iksal is even identified as the Biblical town of Chisloth-Tabor (Joshua 19:12) or Chesulloth (Joshua 19:18). In the photographs below, Iksal is the large town in the foreground facing you.
