VIEWS FROM THE SUMMIT OF MOUNT OF PRECIPICE, NAZARETH. 1P: Jezreel Valley & the Hill of Moreh at Background.

1P
The hills you see near the horizon (in the Photograph above) are called 'Givat HaMoreh' ('Hill of the Teacher' in Hebrew). The Hill of Moreh is also known as 'Little Hermon', and is located between two famous Biblical mountains, viz. Mount Tabor and Mount Gilboa (not visible in this photograph).

The Hill of Moreh had been the venue of several important Biblical events. At the time of Gideon, when the Midianites invaded Israel, they camped between the Hill of Moreh and Mount Gilboa (Judges 7:1). At the slopes of the Hill of Moreh are three important Biblical sites. 1) En-Dor: The site where King Saul consulted a witch to call up the ghost of Prophet Samuel (I Samuel 28: 3-25). 2) Shunem: Where Prophet Elisha raised the son of the couple from dead, who had hosted him (II Kings 4). 3) Nain: Where Jesus raised the son of a widow from dead (Luke 7:11-17).
